Its been one whole week since I have been in the city! I can’t believe it- it has gone so quick! I came to New York on Saturday, thinking that I started my internship on Monday but last minute they decided to close for Monday and Tuesday to celebrate the 4th! I was pretty happy about this, since it gave me extra time to roam (and shop 🙂 around the city for a few days before I started my job. My first day at the showroom was on Wednesday, and it went pretty well. Anyways, I am going to start documenting my favorite things I did each week on the blog… so here we go!
My favorites this week-
Restaurants: By Chloe. is the BEST! I had it for my very first meal in the city and now have been twice since! All the food is 100% vegan, and their Guac burger is everything. Even though I don’t practice a vegan lifestyle, it has quickly became my favorite place to eat in the city. Everything here is amazing- even the decor! Every time I leave, I start planning when I can go back. 🙂
Ice Cream: Momofuku Milk Bar- this ice cream has seriously grown on me! The first time I had it was a few years ago, and I wasn’t totally sold on it, but now I love it! I get the milk flavored ice cream with the cereal crunch on top. Also the birthday cake truffles are amazing.
Site Seeing– I really love Washington Square Park! There is so much talent being showcased- I could sit and watch for hours. I am personally a big fan of the people who blow bubbles for the little children in the park 🙂 So cute!

Funny story about this outfit- I only could bring two suitcases out to NY, so when I was trying to get dressed today, I realized I had no red or blue tops to wear! I walked out of my place wearing a boring plain white tee, but after my time shopping I found this adorable top! I bought it and then changed in the fitting room. It’s hard to see in this photo but it has a really cute, slightly open back and it ties in the front. It was also under $20 so I felt it was a pretty great find!
I hope everyone had a great 4th!

As some of you many know, I moved to NYC for 6 weeks to completing a fashion internship. I have to say, I have LOVED living in the city so far! Even though I come from a small town, I have always been a city girl at heart. I enjoy the hustle and bustle, and the shopping isn’t bad either 😉 These photos are from my first full day in the city. I had dinner with a friend and after dinner we walked to Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment. It was a perfect first day! This outfit was just right for an incredibly hot and busy day in the city. I have been walking everywhere here so I am sorry if you see a lot of these sneakers on my blog- they are my fav!
I can’t wait to keep up with my blog during the summer and update it with all the fun things the city has to offer. If there is any content you would like to see on my blog (like restaurant recommendations, workout info, etc), please let me know!
Dress: Madewell | White Tee: Free People (it’s my favorite white tee I’ve purchase yet!) | Shoes: Converse
A look that I wore to work this week! I literally changed five times before I got to this outfit. Needless to say my room was a disaster afterwards! I enjoyed this look because it is simple and I felt great in it all day!
Jacket: Evereve | White Tee: J. Crew | Bralette: Free People | Jeans: old, similar Here | Shoes: old, similar in a higher version Here
Okay so how amazing is this jacket? My mom got it for me as a gift and now I don’t think I will ever take it off! I wore this look to work and then out for a dinner date with my boyfriend this past weekend. I paired it with a simple white tee and denim so I could let the Jacket steal the show 😉
I hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend!
